DESERVED DOMINION: Mastering the Machine Before It Masters You

Adult / Community

In this forward-looking and highly practical program, E.G. Weiss explores the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence through the lens of real-world application, productivity, and personal empowerment. Drawing from his book AI Deserved Dominion, he breaks down what AI truly is, what it is not, and why so many people misunderstand both its capabilities and its risks. This is not a technical lecture; it is a strategic guide for everyday users who want to harness AI as a tool rather than be overwhelmed by it.

Weiss walks audiences through how to effectively use AI in daily life, business, and creative endeavors, demonstrating how to build a personalized AI assistant that enhances efficiency, organization, and decision-making. He also addresses the common pitfalls; over-reliance, misinformation, ethical concerns, and the illusion of intelligence that can lead users down the wrong path if not properly understood.

The program concludes with a grounded and thought-provoking look at the future of AI, cutting through both hype and fear. Attendees leave not only with practical skills, but with a new perspective on how to remain relevant, productive, and in control in a world increasingly shaped by intelligent machines.

FORENSICS: THE TRUTH VS. TV – What the Cameras Don’t Show

Teen / Adult / Community

In this eye-opening program designed for junior high through adult audiences, E.G. Weiss pulls back the curtain on the world of forensic investigation, separating fact from fiction in a way that is both educational and unforgettable. While popular television shows portray forensic science as fast, clean, and nearly infallible, the reality is far more complex, methodical, and often far less glamorous.

Through real-world examples and firsthand insights, Weiss explores how crime scenes are actually processed, the limitations investigators face, and the painstaking work required to collect, preserve, and interpret evidence. He discusses the challenges of contamination, time constraints, environmental conditions, and human error; factors rarely acknowledged in entertainment media.

Audiences gain a deeper appreciation for the science, discipline, and patience required in forensic work, as well as the emotional and psychological toll it can take on investigators. This program replaces Hollywood myth with reality, leaving attendees with a newfound respect for the professionals who work behind the scenes to uncover the truth.

CARTELS IN AMERICA: MYTH VS. REALITY – From Borderlines to Backyards

Adult / Community

In this powerful adult-focused program, E.G. Weiss examines the evolution of drug cartels and transnational gangs from their origins to their present-day influence within the United States. Moving beyond headlines and political rhetoric, he provides a clear, fact-based look at how these organizations operate, adapt, and expand their reach into communities that many believe are untouched.

Weiss traces the progression of cartel activity over time, explaining how globalization, technology, and shifting policies have allowed these groups to become more sophisticated and more embedded in everyday environments. He challenges common misconceptions and highlights the subtle ways cartel influence can appear in local economies, businesses, and criminal activity.

The program concludes with a forward-looking perspective on where these threats are heading and what it means for communities moving forward. Rather than fear-driven, this presentation is rooted in awareness, education, and understanding thus equipping audiences with the knowledge needed to recognize reality beyond the myths.

HOW TO NOT BE AN EASY TARGET: Awareness in a Distracted World

Teen / Adult / Community

Designed originally for junior high and high school audiences, this engaging and practical program focuses on building real-world awareness skills that can help young people navigate an increasingly complex and distracted environment. E.G. Weiss connects directly with students, breaking down how everyday habits (especially those involving phones and social media) can unintentionally increase vulnerability.

Through relatable examples and interactive discussion, Weiss explains how individuals are often selected as targets, not by chance, but by observable behaviors. He introduces simple, actionable strategies that students can apply immediately to increase their awareness in schools, public spaces, and social settings without creating fear or anxiety.

The program also addresses the realities of human trafficking, particularly how traffickers use technology and social media to identify and communicate with potential victims. By combining awareness, education, and empowerment, this presentation equips young audiences with the tools they need to make smarter, safer decisions in their daily lives.

EXECUTIVE PROTECTION: MORE THAN BODYGUARDS – The Strategy Behind Safety

Teen / Adult / Community

In this compelling adult program, E.G. Weiss offers an inside look at the world of executive protection, challenging the common perception that it is simply about physical security or visible presence. Drawing from decades of experience, he explains how true protection is rooted in planning, anticipation, and the ability to manage risk without disrupting the mission of the person being protected.

Weiss explores the layered approach used by protection professionals, including threat assessment, behavioral analysis, advance work, and environmental awareness. He highlights the importance of subtlety, discretion, and decision-making under pressure; skills that extend far beyond the stereotype of a bodyguard standing watch.

Attendees gain insight into how protection strategies are developed and executed in real-world scenarios, as well as how these principles can be applied to personal and organizational safety. This program provides a rare glimpse into a profession that operates quietly but plays a critical role in high-stakes environments.

APPLIED HEALTHY PARANOIA & RED WAGONS: Thinking Before It Happens

Adult / Community

In this thought-provoking adult program, E.G. Weiss introduces audiences to his philosophy of Applied Healthy Paranoia alongside the principles of the Red Wagons methodology. Moving beyond the familiar phrase “See Something, Say Something,” he challenges attendees to think deeper about what it truly means to recognize, assess, and act on potential risk.

Weiss explains how most people are conditioned to react rather than anticipate, often missing critical warning signs in everyday situations. Through real-world examples and case studies, he demonstrates how small observations, when properly understood, can prevent larger incidents from unfolding.

The program emphasizes critical thinking, pattern recognition, and the importance of questioning assumptions without becoming overwhelmed by fear. Attendees leave with a practical framework for improving awareness, decision-making, and personal responsibility in both professional and everyday environments.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING: WHAT IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE – Beyond the Headlines

Adult / Community

In this powerful and eye-opening program for adults and parents, E.G. Weiss examines the realities of human trafficking in today’s world, focusing on how it actually occurs rather than how it is portrayed in media. He explains how traffickers operate, how victims are identified, and why many cases go unnoticed in plain sight.

A significant portion of the program addresses the role of technology and social media, particularly how young people are targeted through online platforms. Weiss discusses grooming tactics, communication strategies, and the ways traffickers exploit vulnerability in digital environments that many families consider safe.

This program is designed to educate without sensationalizing, providing parents and adults with the knowledge needed to recognize warning signs and engage in meaningful conversations with youth. It offers clarity, awareness, and practical insight into one of the most misunderstood issues facing communities today.

HOMEGROWN TERRORISM IN AMERICA: The Threat Within

Adult / Community

In this serious and informative program, E.G. Weiss explores the complex and often uncomfortable reality of homegrown terrorism within the United States. Rather than focusing solely on external threats, he examines how radicalization can occur within communities, sometimes in ways that are subtle and difficult to detect.

Weiss discusses the factors that contribute to domestic extremism, including ideology, isolation, online influence, and social dynamics. He highlights how individuals can move from belief to action, and why early indicators are often overlooked or dismissed.

The program provides a balanced and educational perspective, emphasizing awareness over fear. Attendees gain a clearer understanding of how these threats develop and what communities can do to recognize and address them before they escalate.

From Local to Global: Expanding Your Business with Immersive Technology

Audience: Teen / Adult / Community / Local Business

Most business owners have seen virtual tours. They have clicked through a home listing, explored a location on a map, or dropped into a street view online. What many do not realize is that these familiar tools represent only a fraction of what immersive technology can do in today’s business environment.

Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (XR) have rapidly evolved from novelty to necessity, offering businesses of all sizes the ability to expand beyond physical limitations and connect with customers, clients, and stakeholders in entirely new ways. From small, locally owned shops to large corporate operations, organizations are now leveraging immersive technology to increase visibility, enhance training, improve safety, and create experiences that were once impossible.

In this dynamic and highly interactive presentation, professional drone pilot, multimedia specialist, and immersive technology practitioner Jonathon W.H. Weiss introduces audiences to the real-world applications of VR and XR across multiple industries. Drawing from nearly a decade of experience working with both small businesses and large-scale projects, Jonathan breaks down how immersive tools can be used not just for marketing, but for operations, education, risk awareness, and global accessibility.

Attendees will discover how businesses can create fully immersive environments that allow customers to step inside their spaces from anywhere in the world, how training programs can be transformed through interactive simulations, and how organizations are using this technology to improve communication, efficiency, and decision-making. Real-world examples demonstrate how companies are moving beyond static websites and social media to create experiences that engage users on a deeper level.

What sets this presentation apart is its hands-on, live demonstration component. During the session, attendees may participate in the creation of a real-time VR/XR capture, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how immersive environments are built and deployed. This live element not only demystifies the technology but shows just how accessible and scalable it has become for businesses of all sizes.

This is not a future-focused discussion. It is a present-day opportunity. Businesses that understand and adopt immersive technology are gaining a competitive edge, expanding their reach, and redefining how they interact with their audiences. This presentation equips attendees with the knowledge, perspective, and practical insight needed to take the first step into that space and begin transforming the way they operate and grow.

Fly Smart:

The Legal, Safe, and Responsible Way to Use Drones Today

Audience: Teen / Adult / Community

Drones have quickly gone from high-end technology to everyday household items. They are unwrapped on birthdays, flown in backyards, and used to capture everything from family memories to social media content. But what many families do not realize is that the world of drone flight has changed dramatically. What was once considered a harmless hobby is now governed by evolving laws, federal regulations, and airspace restrictions that carry real consequences for those who do not understand them.

In this engaging and eye-opening presentation, professional drone pilot and unmanned systems specialist Jonathan W. H. Weiss brings nearly a decade of real-world experience to the stage, including work alongside federal aviation standards and participation in UAV-focused conferences and projects. Designed specifically for teens, preteens, and parents, this session bridges the gap between curiosity and responsibility in a way that is both accessible and impactful.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of what is legally allowed and what is not when operating a drone in today’s environment. The presentation breaks down complex topics such as FAA registration requirements, restricted airspace, flying near people and property, privacy considerations, and the increasing enforcement of drone-related violations. Real-world examples and case references illustrate how simple mistakes can lead to fines, confiscation of equipment, or even criminal charges.

Beyond the legal landscape, Jonathan provides practical, easy-to-follow guidance on how to fly safely and responsibly. Families will learn how to avoid common mistakes, how to identify safe flight zones, and how to develop strong situational awareness while operating a drone. The session also explores how drones are used professionally in industries such as emergency response, media production, and security, giving young attendees a glimpse into potential career paths they may never have considered.

This is not a lecture filled with technical jargon. It is a real-world conversation designed to equip families with the knowledge they need to enjoy drone technology without putting themselves at risk. Whether you are a parent who just bought your child their first drone or a young operator looking to take your skills to the next level, this presentation delivers the clarity, confidence, and responsibility needed to fly smart in today’s world.

"For much of my career, I have worked behind the scenes; often in the shadows, behind
curtains, and backstage during some of America’s most challenging moments. From
disaster response to security operations and complex investigations, I have spent
decades in environments where the public rarely sees what is truly happening, and
where the full story is seldom told.
Over time, I realized that many of these experiences, these lessons, these realities, never
make it to the public in a meaningful or undiluted way. What we see on television is
often simplified. What we hear in the news is condensed. And what we find online is
frequently incomplete or distorted. Because of that, my son and I have developed a series of programs specifically for library audiences that are designed to pull back the curtain and
offer an honest, educational, and experience-driven perspective on topics that impact
our world every day.
Some of these programs have also been intentionally designed to include younger
audiences. We have a strong passion for inspiring junior high and high school students to
think differently, to ask better questions, and to consider careers in fields of service they
may never have otherwise been exposed to.
Whether speaking to adults, teens, or a mixed audience, my goal is always the same; to
provide insight, encourage critical thinking, and leave each person with something
meaningful they can carry forward."
