The past few years have been nothing short of tumultuous—a whirlwind of changes, expansions, and personal challenges. Yet, through it all, I'm thrilled to finally share some exciting news. Come September, I’ll be releasing not just one, but several books simultaneously. This milestone is deeply personal, and I couldn’t have achieved it without the incredible support I've received along the way.
I'm profoundly grateful to everyone who encouraged me, the experts and officials who generously shared their insights during interviews, and those special individuals who, despite grappling with unfinished manuscripts, took the time to write forwards. Your belief in this work has been invaluable.
In mid-September, you’ll find "Home-Grown Terrorism in America" on the shelves—a book that doesn’t just recount history but also forewarns of the threats we're facing here in the United States. I'm especially honored to have a phenomenal forward written by Christopher Hansen, a Pulse Nightclub survivor and hero.
But that’s not all. I'll also be introducing my new book, "Capturing Virtual Reality—Adopting New Technologies in Old Arenas," which delves into the challenges and triumphs of teaching old dogs new tricks in an ever-evolving technological landscape. And, for those who’ve been eagerly awaiting it, "The Devil You Know" will finally be here, offering an in-depth exploration of the hidden dangers and threats within the history of emergency management and response.
Perhaps the most exciting for me is the re-release of "The Definition of Unprecedented," the book I penned after Hurricane Harvey. This edition features updated follow-up chapters and boasts a new Limited-Edition cover, making it a true collector’s item.
But wait…there’s more. I am expecting another release at the end of September of a book written in collaboration with a dear friend that will surprise you all…more on that later.
This journey has been a wild ride, and I can’t wait to share these works with you. Stay tuned—September is just around the corner!
